Originally published in 1873, this cookbook is filled with old fashioned Maryland recipes for fish, wild birds, soups, sauces, vegetables, breads, cakes, preserves, and much more. Also includes sections on fermenting alcoholic beverages, preparations of home remedies for the sick, and many miscellaneous housekeeping concoctions.
Very good. Bound in light orange cloth over boards with spine and upper board decorated in black. Some minor abrasions to lower board, slight fading to cloth on spine, and moderate extremity rubs. Shallow chip of about 1" length to fore edge of Preface leaf.
