New York: International Publishers, (1938). First printing. Black and white frontispiece photographic portrait. Cloth over boards. Octavo. 222 pages. Very good in a good dust jacket. Bound in green cloth over boards with gilt-stamped spine titles. Some minor fading and rubs to board extremities. Gilt spine titles somewhat dulled. Jacket has edge chips and wear but all text intact. Slight dampstains evident at lower fore corners of both jacket panels.

Jim Ford was an African American activist and Vice-Presidential candidate for the Communist Party USA in 1932, 1936, and 1940. He wrote these articles in the heat of the struggles for African American rights in which he was engaged during this period.
