Edgar Lawrence Smith's 1924 book "Common Stocks as Long Term Investments" did a lot to fuel the stock market boom of the 1920s. This book, published two years later and three years before the great crash, promotes an investment vehicle to allow the resources of a large number of investors to be jointly managed according to Smith's principles.

The Annual Report for the Investment Managers Company Investment Trust Fund A for 1925 comprises the Appendix (pages [37]-51).
