Oval photographic portrait of Nurse Ruth S. Ellis of Bridgewater, MA, mounted on a printed card. Text gives brief biographical information on Mrs. Josselyn and her time in Annapolis from August 1863 to May 1865. She apparently worked at the Naval School Hospital--which was U.S. General Hospital Div. 1 at the grounds of the U.S. Naval Academy. Signed in type by the Surgeon in Charge, Dr. B. A. Vanderkieft.
