Dr. Shattuck was a gynecologist and the superintending physician and operating surgeon at the Maine Hygienic Institute in Waterford, a facility "devoted exclusively to lady patients." One of Dr. Shattuck's famous cases--that of Miss Gussie Rackett--receives much attention herein. No copies located in OCLC.

Very good. Front cover has a tear along bottom 1.25" of upper joint, some minor edge wear, and a light stain at lower inner margin of front cover.
