A collection of classic Maryland recipes, many of which had been printed some 50 years earlier in a limited edition to raise money for the Protestant Episcopal Church in Oakland, Maryland.

There are some 27 pages of recipes followed by a number of blank leaves for adding one's own. A prior owner has indeed pencilled in a recipe for fried chicken, and there are two other recipes laid in.
