MacDonagh's first solo book of poetry, published in this small edition, of which this is hand-numbered copy 24. Published by Elizabeth Yeats's Cuala Press, with support from her brother, William Butler Yeats.
MacDonagh was an Irish nationalist, jurist, and writer. His father, patriot and poet Thomas MacDonagh, was killed in the Easter Rising in 1916.
Bound in blue paper over boards with white cloth spine, blue endpapers. Upper board titled in black, spine titled in black on label laid down. A few shallow extremity bumps, hints of exterior staining, and a touch of fading toward top and fore edges of upper board. Neat prior owner book tag on front pastedown. Small label residue at top fore corner of front pastedown. Clean and sound overall. A lovely copy in custom-cut clear Mylar jacket.
