Biography of John Reed told through images paired with biographical narratives. Reed was the author of 'Ten Days that Shook the World,' a war correspondent, and first American ambassador to the Soviet Union.
Lynd Ward was best known for his wordless novels--graphic novels--told entirely through woodcuts.
Bound in black and red cloth over boards with gilt-stamped spine, and publisher's device stamped in blind on upper board. Shallow bumps to spine ends with a touch of fading to extreme top and bottom edges of boards. Mild toning to interior leaves. Jacket has moderate toning, a closed 2" tear at top edge of front panel, slight fading to spine, some staining to top edge of front and rear panels, and some tape to back side of jacket by prior owner. Overall near fine in a good dust jacket.
