Going Down with Janis
Secaucus: Lyle Stuart, Inc., (1973). First Edition. Hardcover. Octavo. 298 pages.
Part biography, part memoir, and part reckoning, here is Caserta's unfiltered account of her intense romantic and emotional relationship with Janis Joplin through the chaos, brilliance, and ultimately self-destructive energy of the late 1960s rock and counterculture scene.
Good in a good dust jacket. Bound in red cloth over boards with black spine titles. Foxing to top edge of textblock, minor spine crease. Dust jacket light browning to spine, a 1/2" triangular chip at top fore corner of front panel, a few smaller edge chips, and a few closed edge tears with some associated wrinkles. Overall a very presentable copy.
