Here he shares numerous hunting adventures as well as his vast knowledge of the game, its habitat, and the terrain. Illustrated throughout with photographs by Percival and noted fellow big game hunter, Martin Johnson.

Bound in green cloth over boards with spine titled and ruled in gilt, upper board titled and ruled in blind. Minor foxing to textblock edges, minor extremity bumps and shallow chips, some scattered light spotting to cloth. There is some splitting to cloth along bottom 4" of upper joint but all remains sturdy. Small prior owner name dated 1924 on front free endpaper. An agreeably seasoned copy of this hunting classic, protected in a custom Mylar jacket.
