The superb facsimile of the "Everett" copy of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, produced by the R. R. Donnelley Company at its Lakeside Press in Chicago in 1964.
Printed on laid paper specially manufactured for the project, which was then tinted to match the toning and faint staining on both sides of the original sheets. The original paper's light blue ruling is also faithfully recreated, as are the embossed tax seal and the faintly pencilled page numbers at the top right corners of each sheet. The most sophisticated facsimile of a Lincoln manuscript Gettysburg Address ever produced.
Very good to near fine condition. First sheet has a short closed tear at top right edge with a minor associated crease. Second sheet has some mild wrinkling along upper right edge. A very attractive example of this increasingly scarce Donnelley/Lakeside item.
