Ten Days that Shook the World
New York: International Publishers, [1936]. Illustrated with facsimiles of documents. Cloth hardcover. Octavo. xxiv, 371 pages.
This classic of revolutionary literature is a vivid, firsthand account of the 1917 Russian Revolution. John Reed, an American journalist and Socialist, gives eyewitness reporting of the dramatic overthrow of the Russian government and the rise of the Bolsheviks.
This copy is published by the American Communist Party through their press--International Publishers in New York. Contains the Introduction by Lenin. Rare with the dust jacket featuring a photographic portrait of Reed.
Bound red cloth over boards with black spine titles. Minor extremity wear to binding, including shallow bumps. Slight browning to textblock. Jacket has some light soil, a couple of vertical creases to front panel, a similar crease to rear panel, and shallow edge chips and rubs. Overall a very good copy in a very good and very uncommon dust jacket.
