Guerilla Warfare
New York: Monthly Review Press, 1961. First Edition in English. Illustrated with black and white drawings. Hardcover. Octavo. 127 pages.
Che Guevara's manual of revolutionary tactics, drawn largely from his experiences during the Cuban Revolution. He emphasizes disciplined leadership, the ability to adapt to challenging conditions, and the importance of popular support.
Guevara argues that guerilla forces can defeat traditional armies by creating their own favorable conditions and inspiring the masses to fight for social reforms. In addition, there is information on the organization of guerilla bands, strategies for sabotage, and the role of propaganda in revolutionary movements. This is the first English translation of Guevara's manual.
