This is the rare first pamphlet printing of Theodore Roosevelt's address at the Sorbonne on April 23, 1910, now popularly known as the "Man in the Arena" speech.

Printed in Paris just days after its delivery. There is a tissue-guarded frontispiece portrait of Roosevelt. Text is in French.

A handsome copy of this important appearance of Roosevelt's most iconic speech. Very scarce.

Bound in printed pale yellow paper covers with a few shallow edge chips, light exterior soil, and a few mild creases to covers. Interior clean.
