A medical doctor's alarmed look at the rise in marijuana use in Britain following World War II. This is apparently the first English book on the subject of marijuana as a recreational drug. Johnson compares its use with other drugs of addiction, and includes a chapter on "Marihauana in the United States."

Good in a near fine dust jacket. Bound in maroon cloth over boards with gilt-stamped spine titles. Lower board has a slight crease to top fore corner, a bump to fore edge, and a resulting tear of about 1/2" to cloth. Jacket has a few light soil smudges.
