Animal Farm
New York: Harcourt, Brace and Company, (1946). First American Edition. Hardcover. Duodecimo. [ii], 118 pages.
Orwell's classic allegorical novel satirizing the Communist system through a tale of tyranny and rebellion among a society of anthropomorphic farm animals.
A nice copy of this 20th century high spot in the iconic dust jacket designed by Art Brenner.
Bound in black cloth over boards with gilt-stamped spine titling. Slight rubs to binding extremities with mild age-toning to interior. Jacket has a few shallow edge chips and rubbed wrinkles, along with a touch of fading to red titling on spine. Jacket is not price-clipped. Overall near fine in a very good dust jacket.
