The official guidebook to Disneyland prepared for opening day, July 17, 1955. Construction had begun in July of 1954, with opening day scheduled for just a year later. This turned out to be an overly optimistic timeline, and this guidebook therefore relies on artists' renderings to depict its attractions due to unfinished construction and landscaping around the park on opening day.
The guidebook gives background on Walt Disney's concept and development of the park, double-page concept drawings for Main Street and the park's four "lands," a user's guide with keyed list of attractions, and four gridded section maps to locate attractions.
A wonderful piece of Disneyland history.
