This Thing Don't Lead to Heaven
New York: William Morrow and Company, Inc., 1970. First Edition. Hardcover. Octavo. [iv], 186 pages.
Darkly humorous tale set in a home for the aged and involving a cast of eccentric characters. An exploration of aging, loneliness, and the human condition from a master of Southern Gothic literature.
Near fine in a good dust jacket. Book has a few minor extremity bumps, clean and sound overall with no prior owner markings. Jacket has a 1" closed edge tear at bottom of front panel, along with two shorter tears at bottom of upper joint fold and top fore corner of rear panel. Faded ink notation near price on front jacket flap. Overall a very nice copy of this uncommon Crews first edition.
