Unusual autograph album in which wet signatures were transformed into ghostly inkblots along a vertically creased page. This copy has several signature ghosts within along with numerous unused blank leaves.
The results are reminiscent of Rorschach psychological tests and these keepsake books are artifacts of early 20th century interest in psychology and the exploration of character and personality.
Cecil Henrietta Henland compiled other sorts of parlor game books in the same era which were popular at social gatherings.
Near fine. Bound in dark blue cloth over boards with gilt-stamped spine and upper board titles, paper onlay to upper board. Light foxing to endpapers, minor extremity rubs.
