Contains much interesting and valuable information extracted from the Maryland Gazette, but also much history that had not previously been published anywhere. A veritable gold mine of Annapolis lore. Fully indexed, errata sheet bound in at rear.
Bound in dark brown cloth over boards with Gilt-stamped spine titles, blind embossed border rules to both boards. A remarkably well-preserved copy. The only defect we find is a shallow chip and short, expertly repaired tear at fore edge of front free endpaper. The entire affected area could be concealed under a dime. This is by far the nicest condition copy we have ever had. It appears unread, with gilt spine titles bright, fore corners sharp.
