One of the earliest portrayals of Alcoholics Anonymous and its recovery program in fiction. The author is a pseudonym for a pair of writers--one of whom was a member of A.A. The book is dedicated to Bill Wilson and other members of A.A.

This novel was published the year after that other famous novel of alcoholism, "The Lost Weekend," and both became bestsellers.
