Colorful and humorous caricature map of Baltimore County, "charted with considerable inaccuracy by Yardley." Includes lots of great detail and historic humor, not always politically correct.
Richard "Moco" Yardley was the longtime editorial cartoonist for the Baltimore Sun and created several similar maps for other regions of Maryland. Some of these maps were apparently sent out as to solicit newspaper subscribers, as seen from the original envelope sleeve and label included with this example.
Yardley maps are surprisingly challenging to find these days.
Very good condition, mild age toning, two small spots in margin at lower right corner. Unframed.
