Isaac Watts' supplement to his classic treatise on logic. Here he delves into other areas of self improvement that are not strictly concerned with logic. There are chapters on observation, reading and books, the judgment of books and authors, the art of conversation, memory and its improvement, disputes and the general rules relating to them, Socratic disputation by question and answer, and much more.

The brilliant, self-made, and prolific English scientist, Michael Farady, was greatly influenced by this work when he was a young bookbinding apprentice.

Handsome volume in modern binding by Starr Bookworks.
