The state's major canals at this time were the Erie Canal, Black River Canal, the Chenango Canal, the Oswego Canal, the Chemung Canal, and the Genesee Valley Canal.

Includes several lengthy fold-outs of canal profiles.


Near fine. Bound in dark brown cloth over boards with gilt titling to upper board. A few minor spots and rubs to exterior. Hinges sound. Old prior owner name pencilled on front free endpaper, small old presentation label at top fore corner of front pastedown.
