Top fore corner of first leaf has a neat tape repair from back side. Original stitched binding holding well. A few leaves unopened.
The Grand Lodge met in Raleigh the first week of December, 1864. In his address herein Grand Master Eli Faucette Watson, alluding to the Civil War and the Confederacy, notes that the ancient fraternity of Free and Accepted Masons has nobly sent forth many valiant sons "who have sacrificed their lives in defence of Liberty, and against the usurpation of a despot and tyrant, and will ever be ready to stand side by side with the bravest of North Carolina's sons in vindicating our rights and institutions."
