The Government Printing Office edition of the Smyth Report on the development of the atomic bomb. Foreword by Gen. Leslie Groves, Director of the Manhattan Project dated August 1945. Smyth's Preface is dated July 1, 1945. This copy has the proper 1945 Government Printing Office date code at bottom of last text page.

According to "The 'Smyth Report': a Descriptive Check List," prepared by Earle E. Coleman for the Princeton University Library Chronicle, this GPO version of the Smyth Report was published in mid to late September 1945, and is its second appearance in book form.

A remarkable account compiled by those involved.
