New York: The Derrydale Press, 1932-1939. Limited editions. Various illustrators. Hardcovers in custom slipcase. Octavos. Very good to fine condition. "The Silver Horn" has splitting along inner hinges with some inelegant repairs to front hinge. All other volumes near fine to fine condition. The slipcase has a few mild rubs and stains. A beautiful set overall, housed in an unusually impressive slipcase.

A complete set of the five Gordon Grand books published by The Derrydale Press. "Southborough Fox" is signed by Grant on half title. The titles included are:

- The Silver Horn, 950 copies, 1932
- Colonel Weatherford and His Friends, 1450 copies, 1933
- Old Man and Other Colonel Weatherford Stories, 1150 copies, 1934
- Colonel Weatherford's Young Entry, 1350 copies, 1935
- The Southborough Fox, 1450 copies, 1939

All are housed together in a custom-made slipcase that features five rounded faux spines with raised bands and titled in gilt. Additionally, each volume is protected by a folding sleeve of red cloth over thin board. The slipcase and folding sleeves are signed "JAS. MACDONALD CO. NEW YORK."

A very handsome collection of these classic stories of horse and hound.
