Stephen Crane's classic Civil War novel of cowardice and redemption. This is the sixth London printing. There is an illustrated front flyleaf decorated in green, yellow, and black oddly depicting an Asian scene. The London edition had been first issued as a paperback and this was the front cover of that edition. A volume in the publisher's "Pioneer Series."
Bound in dark green cloth over boards with both boards titled an ornamented in pale green. A bit of spotting to front endpapers, slight lean to spine, but hinges sound. Near fine overall.
