Frederick Johnson was a civil engineer and resident of Niagara, and his guide to the "world's wonder" of Niagara Falls aimed to be the most accurate on the market.

Includes several pages on the geology and continuing recession of the falls by the famous Scottish geologist, Sir Charles Lyell.

Four engraved plates of the falls and the suspension bridge connecting the United States and Canada illustrate the text. There are several pages of interesting advertisements at front and rear.


Bound in original illustrated wrappers of lavender glazed paper. A minor stain to exterior lower wrapper, minor rubs, occasional light creases, and slight edge wear to covers. Binding sound. Fine condition overall.
