Bound in emerald-colored cloth over boards with gilt-stamped spine titles, dark brown topstain. There is a bit of dampstaining to lower fore edge of text block, though this is completely confined to the external edges without rippling or distorting the paper or making itself visible on the pages themselves. Jacket has some small extremity chips, light soil, and is price-clipped.

Autobiography of the master builder who shaped New York's skyline with its most famous early skyscraper, the Flatiron Building, along with the Empire State Building and Penn Station. Among his other high profile projects was the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC.
