Some minor extremity rubs, and some darkening to leather at edges of covers. Hinges remain sound. Prior owner bookplate on front pastedown.

Handsomely bound history of the War of 1812, filled with nearly 900 illustrations and decorations from wood engravings by Lossing and William Barritt, mostly from original sketches by Lossing. Color frontispiece and illustrated title page precede the typographical title page, etc.
