Greenwich: Seabury Press, 1963. First American Edition. Hardcover. Octavo. 60 pages.
Intensely personal account of Lewis's reactions to the death of his wife, Joy Davidman, in 1960. First published in England in 1961, Lewis chose a pseudonym to avoid publicity. Lewis himself died later shortly after the appearance of this first American edition.
Near Fine in Good+ dust jacket. Prior owner bookplate on front pastedown, slight edge rubs at spine ends. Jacket is not price-clipped but has about an inch square chip missing at head of spine, along with a few associated creases and rubbed wrinkles.
