Jacket is not price-clipped but has about an inch square chip missing at head of spine, along with a few associated creases and rubbed wrinkles.
Intensely personal account of Lewis's reactions to the death of his wife, Joy Davidman, in 1960. First published in England in 1961, Lewis chose a pseudonym to avoid publicity. Lewis himself died later shortly after the appearance of this first American edition.
