Important, author-annotated early edition of the most widely used manual of parliamentary procedure in the United States. This copy is inscribed and signed by the author to his wife: "Mrs. Helen M. Robert / from her affectionate husband / Henry M. Robert / Jan'y 29, 1894" on verso of front free endpaper. There are numerous pencil annotations throughout in Robert's hand indicating changes for the subsequent edition. That fourth edition appeared as "Robert's Rules of Order Revised" in 1915 and was the last to be revised by Henry M. Robert himself. . Signed by Author.
