[Berkeley]: Privately Printed, . Limited Edition. Single sheet pages. Near Fine.
Single unbound sheet from a 1947 collaboration between Henry Miller and Palestinian artist Bezalel Schatz. The sheet is SIGNED by both Miller and Schatz. The edition was entirely illustrated and printed in serigraph by Schatz. The text, reproduced in Miller's hand, comes from "Black Spring." Publishing lore regarding this project has it that most of the printed sheets for the edition remained unbound, stored in Miller's house at Big Sur, where the majority were eventually chewed up and/or defecated upon by mice. This example, though apparently from the group that were never bound, has happily evaded the rodents. . Signed by Author & Illustrator.
