Wrapper copy has covers printed in two colors, some minor soil, minor edge wear. Spine is somewhat cocked, and seems to have been expertly repaired. Publisher's printed date of 1885 at bottom of front cover has last digit altered to "6" by the printer. Clothbound copy is in orange cloth with patterned endpapers, upper board titled in black. Some light stains to cloth, minor extremity bumps. Both volumes in custom folders and housed together in custom quarter red morocco slipcase with gilt titling on spine.
