Humorous collection of both historic illustrations and Stevens' own drawings, accompany this spoof of a classic American almanac. Part of January's entry: "1/1/4004 B. C. Annapolis Created; 1/1/4004 B. C. Rest of Maryland; 1/3/4004 B. C. Out of scraps left over, remainder of the planet. " And so on--with many references to the Navy and Naval Academy, where Stevens was an English professor.
