Touch of browning along endpaper gutters, a couple of faint horizontal wrinkles to cloth on upper board. Jacket has slightest of edge wear and a touch of browning to spine. Near fine in a near fine dust jacket. Clean and tight overall.

A collection of nine occult detective short stories featuring psychic detective Carnicki. William Hope Hodgson produced a large body of work in horror, fantastic fiction, and science fiction in his relatively short life. He was killed in World War I.
