History of the oldest continuously active social club in America with many interesting anecdotes of Maryland history, genealogical references, etc. The South River Club's records go back to the 1740s, and there is evidence of the Club's existence perhaps as early as 1700. Reprinted herein is a roster of members going back to 1742.

This book is inscribed to pioneering aerial navigator and instrument inventor, Capt. Philip Van Horn Weems and signed by two members of the Club's Historical Committee--Thomson King and Harry W. Hill. This is copy is number #26 of 300, as hand numbered on limitation page at rear.
