London: The Bodley Head, (1963-1966). First edition thus. Hardcovers. Octavos. Over 1500 pages. Bound in dark green textured paper over boards with gilt-stamped spines. A few shallow extremity bumps. Hinges sound, no prior ownership marks. Jacket spines a touch sunned, a few shallow edge wrinkles, but no significant wear. Jacket prices not clipped. Overall near fine in very good dust jackets. A very handsome set.

A superbly selected and collection of Jack London's lifetime of work. London had been a very popular author in his day, and therefore discounted critically. This collection, with its great critical and biographical introductions by Arthur Caldwell-Marshall, played a major role in the rediscovery and critical reassessment of London's work by a new generation of readers and scholars.
