The classic coming-of-age novel about four sisters in New England during the Civil War, by Louisa May Alcott. These are early printings of both volumes, within a year of each one's first printing. The first volume has no statement of "Part One" on the spine, and does have the note regarding publication of "Part Second" on page 341. Second volume has "Part Second" on the spine and the note regarding "Part First" on page iv. A very appealing and sturdy set of this American literary classic.
