- Lanolin, anhydrous, 40%
- Neat's foot oil, pure, 60%
- The mixture is applied with a soft cloth*, left overnight, and then wiped with a clean cloth. Beeswax is added in some recipes to give a polish.
*Make certain to keep the dressing away from the leaves, endpapers, and other paper parts of the book.
